Help is available with water, wastewater needs
Rural communities with drinking water or wastewater needs may be eligible to receive services free of charge.
The Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies, through its Rural Community Assistance Program, provides planning, facilities development and capacity building. Technical assistance providers work with community leaders to help identify the problem, find affordable solutions and successfully complete the project. RCAP partners with funders and consulting firms to achieve the most effective and low-cost solution.
The Illinois Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) assists underserved rural populations in developing and maintaining community infrastructure to improve the quality of life through partnership with public and private organizations. RCAP is a part of the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies, a membership organization that provides training and technical support to 36 community action agencies in all of Illinois’ 102 counties.
